How Can We Win The Battle For Our Mind? (CMC # 5)

Colossians 3:2 issues a dynamic mandate: “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Notice that Scripture contrasts “things above” and “earthly things,” not “heavenly things” and “hellish things.”  In other words, Paul is insisting that things of “this earth” are in opposition or in contradiction to things of heaven.
Where is your heart and mind focused?
The most effective way I know to “set your mind on things above” throughout your day is by listening to Christian music.  Conversely, the most effective way to focus your mind on “earthly things” is with negative entertainment choices.
What entertainment choices are you making? Video games? TV programs? Movies? Music?  Do they consistently help you see life from God’s perspective or from this world’s perspective?  Have you taken our FREE 30-day video Christian Music Challenge devotional?  Sign up today!
